Medicinal
uses:
This herb is acrid, hot, light, digestive,
appetiser, aphrodisiac and tonic. It has
the properties of cureing cough,
dyspnoea, ascites, leprosy, diabetes, chronic
fever, piles, colic, indigestion, anaemia
and worm troubles. As in the case
of Black Pepper and Ginger, Pippali is part
of the famous digestive formulas
known as Trikatu (three Spices). |
